Dear friends,

As most of you know I recently sold my practice and am retiring from Cornelius Dentistry this month.  I have mixed emotions as I say goodbye to you, but look forward to the adventures that lie ahead.  I am also excited to introduce Dr. Meghan Stenvall who will be taking over as your dentist. Dr. Stenvall knew early on that she wanted to be a dentist from being around her father and uncle, both dentists. She is a great communicator and educator and is very enthusiastic about the opportunity to meet each of you and serve our Lake Norman community.  I am grateful to have such a caring and talented dentist to take care of the people I’ve known and worked with for so many years.

Below is an introduction letter from Dr. Stenvall:

I am excited to introduce myself to all of you… My name is Dr. Meghan Stenvall, and I am looking forward to taking care of all of your dental needs at Cornelius Dentistry.  As you already know, Dr. McGrath has decided to retire after twenty-three years at this practice.  I know you all join me in congratulating him and wishing him the best in his retirement!

Many of you have gotten to know Dr. McGrath well over the years and even consider him to be a friend.  I understand the apprehension of getting to know a new dentist.  My goal is to make the transition as easy as possible by personally getting to know each and every one of you, and hopefully, in a short amount of time, to consider all of you my friends as well.

My father,  my uncle and my cousin are dentists, so dentistry was a natural career choice for me.  I received my undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and my DMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.  After completing a one-year general practice residency program in Brooklyn, NY, I worked with my father in New Jersey before he retired.  Since attending college in North Carolina, I have wanted to live down south.  For the past four years, I fulfilled that dream by working in a dental practice in  Williamsburg, VA.  However, now that my entire family has relocated to the Charlotte area,   I am excited to call North Carolina my new home as well and look forward to exploring the beautiful Cornelius area.

Dr. McGrath has left me with big shoes to fill, and I am both honored and humbled to be following in his footsteps.  Although you will see a different face at Cornelius Dentistry, you can expect to receive the same quality dentistry that you have become accustomed to with Dr. McGrath and his team.  I am excited to get to know you and your families, and I look forward to seeing you soon at Cornelius Dentistry!

Thank you,

Meghan Stenvall, DMD

I also wanted to express my deep appreciation for the opportunity to participate in your dental care for the 23 years I’ve been here. It has been an honor and a privilege to have such a wonderful community of people surrounding and supporting me. Your loyalty and friendship have meant the world to me.

Donna and Melissa will be here to help Dr. Stenvall get oriented and we look forward to introducing her to you.  I hope you’ll join us in welcoming Dr. Stenvall to the practice.

Thank you,

Kenneth R. McGrath, DDS
